I am going to give you some homework.
Materials for this task:
a) A piece of blank paper.
b) A wooden box. You choose the size. It does not need to be huge.
c) Something to write with (pen, pencil...).
d) Anything related to what you want.
This is what you have to do:
1) Sit down quietly and relax for five or ten minutes. Turn off the phone, the laptop and anything that can disturb you.
2) Think about all the goals you would like to achieve. When they are clear enough...
3) ...write them down on a piece of paper. You can write as many things as you need.
4) Bend the piece of paper, put it in an envelope and close it.
5) Put the envelope in the box.
6) Put in the box anything related to the goals you wrote down on the piece of paper. For example, if you want a specific kind of car, you can use a picture of that brand of car cut down from any car magazine. If you want to become a popular writer, you can take a book with the word "Bestseller" on it and with your name written down beside it.
7) And now, very important, I need you to undertake not to open that box again until at least six months have passed by.
The last step is fundamental, as it will help me prove my point. After six months, you can open it to check what wishes you wrote down (I can assure you you will have forgotten some of them with the passing of time) and how your life has been changing to help you be closer to achieving your objectives.
This task sounds completely stupid, but it is not. Just do it and you will notice in what strange and "coincidental" ways the Universe has helped you become closer to reaching what you desire.
Just try it, you have nothing to lose and a lot to gain.
